Juliette has a Gun review.
One of the first notes I learned about when I got into perfumes was patchouli. Thanks to Lush – Karma, I started to appreciate a lot more scents that contain this mysterious plant as an ingredient. Juliette Has a Gun is a brand I also started to appreciate a lot more than I did in the past. And right now, I finally own my personal bottle of Lady Vengeance. (After having a zillion testers and all emptied them!) Please read this review if you are interested in something special!
(Romantina, I talked about this scent in one of my latest videos : click )
From NYC to Paris, Moscow or Sydney…
Juliette intrigues the world. Armed with her perfume, the Shakespearian heroine goes wild. Life is too short, and pleasures too many, says Juliette. The Gun, metaphor for the perfume, weapon of seduction, or simple accessory of bluff, essentially symbolizes the liberation of women towards men. And sometimes with a taste for revenge…
But the concept is also influenced by romantism. A modern version, where reinventing couple and femininity is a constant quest. Created and designed by young Romano Ricci, Juliette has a gun is an independent brand. Launched in 2006, our philosophy is to approach perfumery as an art and to be present only through a limited distribution such as concept stores, department stores or specialized perfumeries. A collection of 10 original scents, a Universal Purse Spray in the shape of a bullet and a collection of 3 candles are currently available, and other weapons of seduction are on their way. Luxury, in its spicy and singular version. For women only.

Most of the time I find reading the about stories from brands a bit boring. But with JHAG the story totally makes sense. I really like the branding of the company. Also I find it to be very good that they have this fictional character : Juliette, a strong and powerful seductive woman.
I love that they also used Lou Doillon for their scents Calamity J. She’s such a French beauty, her style is just exactly what I have in mind when I smell JHAG perfumes.
But before I’m drifting away …
Let’s talk about Lady Vengeance. Because it’s great, …. it really is.
The Juliette has a gun review:
Lady Vengeance is my favorite scents of the whole line. Let’s make that clear at fist. Because I will be super enthusiastic about it haha! Talking about how I experience the scent:
To me, it smells like a classy but dark, neon lighted bar at midnight. People dancing to some jazzy music, maybe some electro. There is this girl, wearing all black, red lips, seductive, on her own. Ready to seduce people, but she’s also fresh and the most fancy of them all. She goes home at night on her own by taxi, goes to work and still looks great after a long night. She is not a woman of many words, but she is seductive. Smells a bit like roses, a bitty like patchouli. Something floral , something edgy.
And there is this song by VITALIC I keep thinking about (in case of making things as much visual as I can).
Top: Lavender, Bergamote.
Mid: Bulgarian Rose, Moroccan Rose, Iso E super, Patchouli, Geranium
Base: Ambroxan, Vanilla, Musk
To me, one of the best blends ever, perfect for partying and getting attention. It’s heavy, but only on the first 10 minutes and then it will be more faded and comes close to the skin. These 2 types of roses in combination with the Iso E super is such an amazing idea. I really believe it makes it smell even more intense. This scent is also great when you layer it with Molecules 01, (I made a DIY on YT here on how to create your own).
The performance is 6 to 8 hours. It’s ok to me, but if you want to have more longevity you should go for the Lady Vengeance Extreme, a much more potent take on this scent. It smells the same for me only the opening is a little more intense. This one will last you for 10 hours max.
Unfortunately, this is expensive. But I really swear it’s worth all the money. JHAG also sells purse sprays that look like a bullet, how amazing is that !!!!
Price: 110 Euros / 100 ml.
